Absolutely delicious and such sweet staff. Will be trying more everything looked so delicious it was hard to chose which beautiful pastry to get.
We were on our way to the German bakery in Harker Heights until I did a Google search for bakeries near me and Chic popped up first, with the nice video that another patron took of the pastry case. My husband said we're changing direction and going there, lol. It's a Monday (late afternoon) so we expected the case to not be as full as the other pictures, but there was still a good variety of pastries to choose from. We purchased the following: - Pain Au Chocolat - Chocolate Almond Creme - Fruit Tart - Strawberry Tart - Blueberry Pecan Tart They were all sensational in their own way. None of them were overly sweet, like an American dessert. They were light and airy with just the right amount of sweetness to make one not feel guilty in over indulging lol. The chocolate almond creme crossaint was just a gem. It had a little almond paste coating on top of the crossaint and the filling was quite a nice surprise because it was a mixture of a custard and dark chocolate. The flavors balanced out nicely, and the crossaint was soft and chewy inside, with a nice golden crust on the outside. The tarts were to be expected. Nothing wrong with them but nothing exciting to talk about if you've eaten tarts before. They all presented well and were cute and neat. We'll visit Chic again. Hoping the next visit they will have macaroons and cheesecakes.
Delicious cappuccino and caramel brioche. Also enjoyed the turkey sausage sandwich I had. The prices were very fair for what I got, too! I highly recommend!
I came here with my mom on a Sunday afternoon and we had a great experience. I ordered the berries and crème croissant, she got a pineapple and coconut tart. We also got some palmiers and an ice chai latte. Both pastries were delicious— the croissant was buttery and flaky and my mom also enjoyed her tart. I’ve never had palmiers before but they were absolutely lovely! My chai was more sweet than spicy but still entirely enjoyable. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. There were quite a few people here before us but we got our food and drinks in about 10 minutes. Absolutely adorable place with great pastries. I highly recommend.
It was heaven in my mouth. I also bought baguettes that were delicious and fresh. These sweets are another dimension of taste.
Everything about this place is fabulous! The ladies were welcoming and made great suggestions when I asked. We tried 6 different items and each one was so delicious. My husband loved the chocolate croissant. I had the turkey and cheese sandwich. So good. Everything is flaky and light. Worth the drive into Killeen!
I love love love this place. Great welcoming atmosphere. Had a taste for something different this past Sunday. . Found a perfect spot. Sunday ( coffee but with extra add ins for flavor & bluberry pecan pie). Today, Tuesday (coffee with my add ins for flavor , turkey quiche & blueberry pecan pie). Add to your place to go list.
Ever since i had these delicious pastries it's all i can ever think about they were the best pastries i've had in my whole life and I've tried pastries in just about every state and nothing compares!! They are so fresh and so yummy! Everything is amazing but the croissants have something very special about them and the owner is so very sweet and helpful!
What a wonderful bakery! I stopped by here a few days ago to treat myself to breakfast! I ordered the almond cream croissant, the blueberry pecan tart, and the beef and cheese pastry (not pictured) and oh my, all of them were so good! I especially loved the almond croissant, the filling was marvelous. This was the perfect breakfast to start my day. Also, the lady behind the counter is such a sweetheart. She greeted me when I came to the counter and complimented me, and we had a short chat. Plus, the restaurant is cute, I’ll have to come back!
I went here Last week with my brother and even though we went a hour close to closing I was still pretty happy we went because their items looked delicious and so was the items we got I got Crème Brûlée and Matcha White Chocolate Cheesecake aswell Chocolate Hazelnut Cheesecake. Now the creme Brûlée was decent to me not a big wow factor, the Chocolate hazelnut Cheesecake was more of a pudding to me and less Cheesecake but still delicious. My favorite was Matcha White Chocolate Cheesecake now that was the texture of a Cheesecake and rich in sweetness and I did enjoy it Now my brother I couldn't get photos of his items because he ate them faster then I could snap a photo but he got Raspberry Almond Tarte and blueberry almond tarte. Now to me it was hard to tell which one he liked the most since he ate them at same time frame but he said the blueberry was his favorite, now next time I do want to try this place early so we can try more items.
